Practice Management

Gill Hawlins

I am responsible for efficient administration and organisation of the practice. The aim is to provide friendly personal health care for your and your family. We strive hard to maintain high standards of care and strong customer service. 

I am married with one daughter and have been with the Surgery since 2001 having come from a customer service, audit, financial services and banking background.

My main aim is to provide patients and visitors alike with a pleasant experience and access to excellent health care here at Longlevens.

Our patient surveys provide us with an excellent measure on how we are doing and I am pleased to report that in all areas from access on the telephone or approachability of staff we score above or average - a real achievement.

I am generally available each day should you need to speak with me about any aspect of Surgery life more specifically related to the administration of the practice.  If I cannot see or speak to you immediately please make it clear to the Reception team that you would welcome a discussion with me and I will try my best to schedule some time for you.  

If the matter is more of a clinical nature it would be better to discuss with your usual Dr as I am not clinically trained.

Suggestions and comments are always very welcome.

Administration

At Longlevens we have been a paper light surgery since 2003 which actually means all your medical records are held electronically and any correspondence to do with you health will be held on securely on our computer in house.

We have a small team who deal with the day to day data recording and recall.  A very responsible job and one that requires great concentration and accuracy.

Sue joined the team October 2012. 

As a busy medical practice our staff are often involved in more than one task at a time so please be aware that we will get to you but at certain times we might take a little longer.

Customer service is incredibly important for us and we work hard to achieve a high standard.  However, if you feel we could improve in any way please ask to speak to Sue who is here Monday - Friday or indeed the Practice Manager Mrs Hawlins who will try to resolve your query quickly. 

Secretaries

Mrs Jacqui Longley

Jacqui deals with referrals to hospital and assists the doctors and Practice Manager with administration.
